Spanish (born in Madrid, 1942) and living in France (Rennes) for many years, Mariano Otero is a round trip painter who periodically returns to his native land to show his work. Within his artistic production, tango is not his solitary theme yet it is an issue he recurs to and reconsiders with the creative glance of an artist. Although Mariano (still) does not really know how to dance the tango, his retina has been captivated by the plasticity of a dance that does not need to be dominated to be felt.
